Giraffe dragon by Amy Sue Stirland

Giraffe dragon
by Amy Sue Stirland

Prompt: Graffiti dragon
prompted by: mikka, during Sketch Fest #86 (April, 2017)

Guess I needed to look at the prompt a little more closely. But, I like my Draffon. 5x8 watercolor.

SpringDragon says: An understandable mistake, and a quite hysterical outcome! It's adorable. ~ Reply?

Amy Sue Stirland replied to this: I'm glad you get how that mistake was made, and thank you!

Miss Harm says: this is so cute! i love the leaves for the wings and tail super cute! ~ Reply?

Amy Sue Stirland replied to this: I thought the leaves would work well for the wings and tail :)

mikka says: Oh my goodness so cute! I wonder if being an egg-layer makes giraffe birthing issues easier or more difficult. O_o ~ Reply?

Amy Sue Stirland replied to this: I think about this question every time I look at this picture now, and I would think it would make it easier to pass, but higher mortality rate. Although, the dragon does have shorter legs...

Mayumi Ogihara says: CUTE! ♡ ~ Reply?

Amy Sue Stirland replied to this: Thank you!

mikka says: I'm a little bit sorry? I frequently want to know how imaginary creatures would function. :) Perhaps it bears live young! Or perhaps it lays leathery eggs like many reptiles, so hitting the ground doesn't usually break them, or mom builds a soft next for them to land in. Or perhaps, with the shorter legs, it can sit or lie down. ~ Reply?

Amy Sue Stirland replied to this: Oh it wasn't a complaint. I'm the same way. I like the leathery egg/soft nest combo.
