Rainbow stars are falling by Amy Sue Stirland

Rainbow stars are falling

Prompt: Rainbow Star's are Falling
prompted by: Kelly Lee, during Sketch Fest #75 (May, 2016)

4x6 crayon on acid free card. This scratch technique didn't work as well as I remember it working when I was a kid... But, it still turned out something fun that photographed horribly.

SpringDragon says: Oh, it has an almost glittery look. Very pretty. (I for one still love crayons, the trick is treating it like a grown up medium-they aren't just for kids!) ~ Reply?

Amy Sue Stirland replied to this: I love crayons too (especially the smell) and I had third grade teacher that loved this scratch technique. I just remember the black going down darker. of course it's been 30 years so I might be remembering wrong.

Kelly Lee says: Such a unique idea. And I agree with SpringDragon too, it really does have a glittery feel to it. 💜 ~ Reply?
